LMT 65 Implementation at PAGEN Successfully Completed
PAGEN has successfully completed the implementation of the automated, precise, and high-performance LMT 65 machining and cutting center with a multi-spindle and cutting unit for machining and cutting aluminum profiles. The machine was delivered and installed by Fimtec Polska.

The LMT 65 machining and cutting center implemented at PAGEN is highly equipped. The maximum possible number of tools provides extensive machining capabilities, which is especially important due to the large number of aluminum profiles used by PAGEN. The machine features an extended 6-meter unloading table, which ensures automatic unloading even of the longest HST frame profiles and facade columns. Thanks to the profile densification option on the unloading warehouse, the operator can approach the machine less frequently to unload finished parts. The LMT 65 has a new design for the machining cabin, which is equipped with an active LED light that informs and guides the operator about the machine's status. Additionally, the machine has an exhaust system for fumes mounted on the roof of the machining cabin. These are just a few of the machine’s features that significantly improve the efficiency and ergonomics of aluminum joinery production, says Jan Byrczek from Fimtec Polska.
The machine is equipped with 16 working units mounted on a rigid closed multi-spindle structure. The tool drives use the latest high-performance motors, capable of threading and milling at various angles through extreme units. The machining unit is also equipped with laser sensors to detect tool damage. A special CNC roller system for supporting unstable profiles – called contrasts – allows the machining of the most complex profile cross-sections.
The LMT 65 comes standard with an advanced cutting unit for all cuts needed to produce doors, windows, facades, HST sliding structures, and conservatories. It also features a 7.5 kW motor saw with rear blade retraction, as well as numerical head tilting control from 20° to 160°. The work surface is made of material that prevents profile scratching and is equipped with air nozzles to remove chips from the cut detail.

The implementation of the LMT 65 system improves precision and speed, especially since cutting and machining operations on the bar details are performed with a single profile clamping. The new machine allows for a significant reduction in the number of transports between workstations, as well as minimizes non-productive activities by eliminating the need for multiple handling, retrieving, and placing processed elements on carts. We are dynamically expanding our sales of aluminum systems, and thanks to the LMT 65 implementation, we can execute large contracts in even less time, concludes Sebastian Sosin, Production Director at PAGEN.
